AS STATED IN OUR LETTER OF MAY 12, 1955, INFORMATION FURNISHED US BY THE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION IS THAT THE CHECK WAS ISSUED ON YOUR APPLICATION DATED FEBRUARY 20, 1946, FOR REFUND OF RETIREMENT DEDUCTIONS. HOWEVER, IN VIEW OF YOUR CONTENTION IN YOUR LETTER OF MAY 31 THAT YOU DID NOT FILE AN APPLICATION UNTIL AUGUST 1954, THE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION WAS REQUESTED TO FURNISH A PHOTOSTATIC COPY OF YOUR APPLICATION DATED FEBRUARY 20, 1946. THE COPY HAS BEEN RECEIVED AND IS ENCLOSED FOR YOUR INFORMATION.
