THE DEPARTMENT OF THE ARMY NOW HAS FURNISHED THIS OFFICE A REPORT WHICH IS TO THE EFFECT THAT THE INVITATION FOR BIDS COVERED THE PROCUREMENT OF SIX ITEMS OF AUTOMOTIVE TEST EQUIPMENT, ONLY ONE OF WHICH, A TIMING LIGHT DEVICE, WAS PROTESTED BY YOU AND THAT UPON THE APPROVAL OF THE OFFICE, CHIEF OF ORDNANCE, THE SAID ITEM WAS WITHDRAWN FROM THE INVITATION AND READVERTISED. HENCE, NO FURTHER ACTION APPEARS TO BE REQUIRED BY THIS OFFICE AT THIS TIME AND YOUR TELEGRAM IS BEING FILED.
