C. KOVARIK, SYMBOL NO. 215-130, REPRESENTING ARMORY DRILL PAY FOR THE PERIOD FROM JULY 1, 1949, TO SEPTEMBER 30, 1949. THE CHECK HAS BEEN APPROPRIATELY DISPOSED OF BY LETTER DATED DECEMBER 19, 1950, TO THE CLAIMANT.

WITH THE ORIGINAL OF THE SAID LETTER OF NOVEMBER 3, 1950, IN ADDITION TO STANDARD FORM NO. 1055, THERE WAS SUBMITTED A TYPEWRITTEN PAPER CERTIFIED TO BY CAPTAIN LELAND G. BUTLER, INFANTRY, NEW JERSEY NATIONAL GUARD, AS BEING A TRUE COPY OF A CERTIFICATE OF THE JUDGE OF THE PROBATE COURT, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, STATE OF OHIO, DATED APRIL 5, 1950, SHOWING THAT ON NOVEMBER 9, 1949, LETTERS OF ADMINISTRATION ON THE ESTATE OF DAVID R. BLOSSER, DECEASED, WERE GRANTED TO BETTY R. BLOSSER. WHILE THIS OFFICE ACCEPTS CERTIFICATES OF AUTHORIZED OFFICERS IN PROPER CASES AS SUFFICIENT FOR THE AUTHENTICATION OF CERTAIN CLASSES OF PAPERS, ORDINARILY ORIGINAL PAPERS ARE REQUIRED TO BE FILED IN CONNECTION WITH CLAIMS AGAINST THE UNITED STATES, AND WHERE COPIES OF LEGAL DOCUMENTS, SUCH AS COURT ORDERS, JUDGMENTS, DECREES, ETC., ARE PRESENTED IN SUCH CASES, THEY ARE REQUIRED TO BE CERTIFIED AS TRUE AND EXACT COPIES BY AN AUTHORIZED OFFICIAL - USUALLY THE CLERK - OF THE COURT IN WHICH SUCH ORDERS, ETC., ARE CLAIMED TO HAVE BEEN FILED.

THE CLAIMANT APPEARS TO BE ENTITLED, AS ADMINISTRATRIX OF THE ESTATE OF DAVID R. BLOSSER, DECEASED, TO SUCH AMOUNT AS WAS LEGALLY DUE THE DECEDENT FOR ARMORY DRILL PAY AT THE DATE IF HIS DEATH (SEE THE ACT OF JUNE 30, 1906, 34 STAT. 750, AS AMENDED BY SECTION 4 OF THE ACT OF FEBRUARY 25, 1946, 60 STAT. 30) AND PAYMENT IN THAT AMOUNT, IF OTHERWISE CORRECT, MAY BE MADE TO HER IN THAT CAPACITY, PROVIDED A SHORT FORM CERTIFICATE OF THE COURT EVIDENCING HER APPOINTMENT AND QUALIFICATION AS SUCH, DULY CERTIFIED TO BY THE PROPER COURT OFFICIAL, IS FILED WITH THE SAID SUPPLEMENTAL PAY ROLL, NO DETERMINATION BEING MADE HEREIN AS TO THE CORRECT AMOUNT OF SUCH PAYMENT, OR AS TO THE CORRECTNESS OF THE SUPPLEMENTAL PAY ROLL IN OTHER RESPECTS.

THE CLAIM AND SUPPORTING PAPERS TRANSMITTED WITH YOUR LETTER OF FEBRUARY 1, 1951, ARE RETURNED HEREWITH.
