Normandy Inquiry

Pursuant to a congressional request, GAO provided information on the Battle of Normandy Foundation's managerial and financial problems. GAO noted that the Foundation: (1) has significant managerial problems and financial liabilities in excess of assets; and (2) will not be able to meet its financial and operational responsibilities related to the Normandy memorial and other projects unless it obtains sizeable new donations or other sources of funding.
