Temporary Appointments in Army of the United States--Superintendent of Army Nurse Corps; Women Generally

GAO was asked its opinion on whether an Army officer is entitled to the pay and allowances of a Colonel. The Superintendent of the Nurse Corps was given an emergency appointment to Colonel and there is doubt as to whether she can receive pay and benefits as an officer in the Army.
