Examination of the Spanish Base Construction Program of the Departments of the Air Force and the Navy

GAO examined the Spanish Base Construction Program of the Departments of the Navy and Air Force as of June 30, 1957.

GAO found that numerous changes in plans have resulted in increased costs, in construction delays, and, in one instance, in the construction of facilities for which their was no apparent military need. However, the administration of the physical construction generally was proceeding satisfactorily.
