Highlights

The Admiral Oriental Line, a steamship company, requested review of the action taken by this office in disallowing July 6, 1926, its claim No. 014029 in the amount of $65 as for medical service and treatment furnished by the ship's doctor to a destitute American seaman, while being transported by the S.S. President Grant. As a basis for the claim there was submitted a bill rendered to the steamship doctor, covering the period February 14 to March 8, 1926. These dates, however, are inconsistent with the period of the voyage, appearing that the vessel did not leave Manilla on the voyage in question until March 14, 1926.
