A firm protested a Air Force decision to cancel a solicitation, revise its requirements, and reinitiate a cost comparison for base operations support at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, contending that Air Force lacks a reasonable basis to cancel the solicitation and begin the process anew. GAO held that a limited review of previous appeal and protest issues performed by in-house auditors led the Air Force to reasonably conclude that several problems with the solicitation may have resulted in a flawed private-sector competition. Accordingly, the protest was denied.
