A firm protested the General Services Administration's (GSA) rejection of its bid for multi-purpose pocket survival knives, contending that the knives it offered were essentially equal to the brand name specified in the solicitation. GAO held that GSA was justified in rejecting the protester's bid because the descriptive literature it submitted did not establish that its tools were equal to the solicitation requirements. Accordingly, the protest was denied.
