Highlights

A firm protested an Army contract award for safety inspections of passenger motor carriers and covert in-transit surveillance of hazardous cargo and munitions shipments, contending that the award was improper due to organizational conflicts of interest. GAO held that the Army reasonably determined that the awardee did not have an inherent conflict of interest based on business relationships with Department of Defense carriers. Accordingly, the protest was denied.
