[Protest of Air Force Contract Award for Technical Support Services]
Highlights
A firm protested an Air Force contract award for technical support services, contending that the: (1) awardee's proposal was mathematically unbalanced; (2) Air Force failed to perform an adequate price realism analysis; (3) technical proposals were improperly evaluated; and (4) source selection decision was improperly based on a $9 million mistake in its evaluated price. GAO held that: (1) the protester's proposal was mathematically balanced; (2) the Air Force performed a detailed price analysis consistent with the solicitation's evaluation criteria; (3) the Air Force properly evaluated the technical proposals; and (4) the awardee's price represented the lowest total evaluated price, even after correcting the error in the protester's evaluated price. Accordingly, the protest was denied.
