An interagency team was established in 1994 by the Joint Financial Management Improvement Program (JFMIP) to address travel reengineering.  Representing over two dozen organizations from the Executive and Legislative Branches of the federal government, the goals of the Travel Improvement Project were to identify and address obstacles that impeded use of best travel practices in the federal government.  This report of the project documents both the obstacles and suggested improvements.
