Highlights

A Forest Service certifying officer requested a decision concerning an employee's claim for reimbursement of real estate sale expenses incident to his transfer to a new official duty station. GAO held that the employee was not entitled to reimbursement of real estate sale expenses since: (1) the sale of his house was due to his divorce and not his transfer; and (2) he was not residing in the house at the time he was notified of his transfer. Accordingly, the claim was denied.
