Highlights

Issues were addressed regarding a disabled Army Corps of Engineers' employee's claim for lodging expenses at her permanent duty station. GAO determined that: (1) regulations prohibit payment of per diem or subsistence expenses to employees within their permanent duty station; (2) the claim should be denied; and (3) repayment of the erroneous travel advance should be waived.
