Air Force Purchase of Belt Buckles as Awards for Participants in a Competition

The Air Force requested a decision regarding its purchase of belt buckles for use as awards. GAO held that 10 U.S.C. 1125 and the Department of Defense's implementing regulation authorized the Air Force to purchase items for use as awards. Accordingly, the Air Force could use appropriated funds to purchase the belt buckles.
