Highlights

An Air Force member claimed an allowance for dependent relocation expenses. The Air Force noted that the claimant previously submitted a fraudulent travel voucher for his dependents, that did not travel at the time the expenses were claimed. GAO held that the claimant could not latter reclaim expenses when they were actually incurred, since fraudulent submissions vitiated any legitimate claim arising out of that transaction. Accordingly, the claim was denied.
