Highlights

28 FBI employees requested a review of their claims for regularly scheduled overtime pay, contending that the overtime they worked to assist in quelling a prison riot, was regularly scheduled in advance of an administrative work week. GAO held that: (1) the work involved was unpredictable in nature and was not subject to administrative control; (2) the claimants were not authorized to receive compensation for administratively uncontrolled overtime work. Accordingly, the claims were denied.
