Highlights

The Department of Energy (DOE) requested a decision regarding an employee's claim for travel expenses incident to his recall from annual leave. GAO held that an employee on annual leave was required, even when officially recalled to duty, to return to duty at his own expense, and that illness did not alter that conclusion. Accordingly, the claim was denied.
