[Army Officer's Claim for Waiver of Excess Weight Charges]

An Army officer requested a waiver of excess shipment weight charges he incurred incident to his transfer, contending that the Army included goods other than his in the shipment, since: (1) the total weight exceeded the weight of his goods; and (2) another Army member claimed that there were additional building materials aboard the moving vehicle. GAO held that there was no basis to question the Army's excess-weight determination. Accordingly, the claim was denied.
