The Army requested an advance decision concerning a transferred employee's claim for reimbursement for temporary lodging at a relative's home and meal expenses. GAO held that the employee was not entitled to reimbursement for the: (1) temporary lodging at her relative's home, since she did not show any evidence that the amount represented additional expenses attributable to the lodging; and (2) meal expenses, since the amounts she listed were an estimate, rather than an actual statement of expenses incurred. Accordingly, the claim was denied.
