Two firms protested a Maritime Administration (MARAD) solicitation for ship conversion, contending that MARAD should cancel the solicitation, since it included their patented, proprietary drawings. GAO held that it would not consider allegations of possible patent infringements, since that was a matter for resolution in the courts. Accordingly, the protest was dismissed.
