Highlights

The Federal Bureau of Investigation requested a decision regarding a transferred employee's claim for reimbursement for an educational impact fee he paid incident to his purchase of a newly constructed residence at his new duty station. GAO held that the county-imposed fee was not comparable to an expense the claimant would have incurred in buying an existing residence. Accordingly, the claim was denied.
