[Request for Waiver of USDA Employee's Excess Household Goods Insurance Costs]

The Department of Agriculture requested waiver of an employee's excess household goods insurance costs. GAO held that, since the employee's debt resulted from the agency's erroneous advice, it was subject to consideration as an erroneous payment. Accordingly, the waiver was allowed.
