GAO commented on an interim rule that would amendthe Federal Acquisition Regulation to: (1) preclude the use of appropriated funds to enter into construction contracts with firms from countries discrimination against U.S. firms in acquisitions; and (2) permit the reimbursement of reasonable costs incurred to promote American aerospace exports at domestic and international exhibits. GAO had no objection to the proposed amendments.
