[Comments on Request To Delegate Authority to Army To Grant Relief to Finance and Accounting Officers]

GAO commented on the Army's request that GAO delegate it authority to grant relief to disbursing officers responsible for deficiencies in their accounts because of erroneous payments in duplicate check cases. GAO concluded that, since the regular submission of relief requests was an unnecessary burden for itself and the Army, it would delegate the authority to grant relief for amounts of $750 or less to the Army.
