[Comments on OMB Determination Regarding NOAA Funds]

In response to a congressional request, GAO commented on the Office of Management and Budget's (OMB) determination that the funding for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) should not include $1.8 million, the 1987 continuing resolution designated for transfer from the Fisheries Loan Fund. GAO believes that OMB should apportion the funds to NOAA immediately, as Congress intended.
