Highlights
A retired Army member claimed reimbursement for the cost of shipping his privately owned vehicle after he retired. GAO held that the claimant: (1) did not request transportation of the vehicle through a government shipping office; and (2) failed to establish that the Army specifically misinformed him of the necessity to so arrange transportation. Accordingly, the claim was denied.
