Highlights

A firm protested a General Services Administration (GSA) contract award, arguing that the awardee's bid was ambiguous with respect to price. GAO initially noted that the protest was timely filed, despite the awardee's argument to the contrary. GAO held that, since the ambiguity resulted from an obvious error in the awardee's bid, GSA properly determined the intended price. The protester also argued that the awardee improperly failed to initial its bid correction. However, GAO noted that such informalities are waivable if the intended price can be determined. Accordingly, the protest was denied.
