Highlights
A firm protested the award of any contract under an Army solicitation to any offerer that did not possess a valid quotation from the protester for an assembly necessary to the production of the gun sights being procured. The protester noted that: (1) it was the only approved source for the assembly; (2) no other company had such a quotation; and (3) its delivery schedule for outside firms would extend beyond the schedule required under the solicitation. GAO held that the matter concerned the eventual awardee's responsibility, which GAO does not review absent circumstances not relevant to the instant protest. Accordingly, the protest was dismissed.
