Highlights

A firm protested a Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) contract award, contending that the awardee was not an approved source of the required item and that the product offered would not satisfy the government's requirements. The protester also contended that the solicitation was defective since it did not require first article testing. GAO noted that, although the awardee was not listed as an approved source of the product, DLA properly determined its product to be an acceptable alternative. The contention concerning first article testing was untimely since it was not filed before the required time. Accordingly, the protest was denied in part and dismissed in part.
