[Appeal of Determination That Government Claim for Overpayments May Not Be Waived]

An appeal was filed pursuant to a determination by GAO that a portion of salary overpayments to an Air National Guard employee could not be waived. The employee was notified of the overpayments, but the overpayments were not stopped immediately. GAO held that the employee's debt could be waived for the period before she was notified of the overpayments, but that she was liable for the overpayments that occurred after notification. Accordingly, the determination was affirmed.
