[Query Concerning Navy TAKX Prepositioning Ship Chartering Program]

GAO responded to congressional questions regarding the inclusion of tax indemnification provisions in contracts for vessels under the Navy's TAKX prepositioning ship chartering program. GAO concluded, with one exception, that such provisions are authorized as incidental to the provision of transportation services under the program and do not violate the Antideficiency Act.
