Request for Reconsideration of Claims Settlement

A firm requested reconsideration of a previous decision which affirmed a settlement by the Claims Group. The settlement disallowed the firm's claim for money collected with respect to damage to a television set shipped by that firm. For the reconsideration, the firm submitted documents which it believed GAO had not reviewed at the time the original decision was rendered. This belief, however, was incorrect. Since the firm did not submit any new evidence or otherwise show that the previous decision may have been based on an error of law or fact, the request for reconsideration was denied.
