The Veterans Administration requested relief of liability of an employee for the loss of $1,610.38 in Government funds. The loss occurred as the result of an apparent burglary. GAO agreed with the administrative determination that there was no fault or negligence on the part of the employee, and that she was acting in the discharge of her official duties at the time the loss occurred. Therefore, relief was granted to the employee.
