Reimbursement for Forfeiture of Lease Deposit

An employee appealed the disallowance of his claim for reimbursement of a rental deposit incurred in leasing a residence at a new duty station to which he was transferred. The transfer was cancelled, however, and the landlord refunded all but $112.50 of the rental deposit. The employee may be reimbursed for the forfeited $112.50 as a miscellaneous expense.
