Highlights

An employee's entitlement to certain relocation allowances was questioned. The employee was entitled to temporary quarters allowances for a period when it became necessary to occupy temporary quarters and an additional period during which household goods had not arrived because travel time was overestimated, use of motels during authorized travel, and for a period of 10 days for a daughter who remained at the old station with a younger daughter until her graduation. He was not entitled to per diem for the period he traveled with his family to the new station because he had already performed his travel there, but his wife was entitled to the full rate of per diem. The reasonableness of the cost of meals claimed during occupation of temporary quarters should be determined on the basis of relevant information received.
