Highlights

A decision was requested as to whether the position of Associate Attorney General is exempted from the provisions of the Annual and Sick Leave Act of 195l, as amended. A 1955 decision holding that only individuals appointed by the President may be designated by him as exempt from provisions of the legislation was affirmed, and any broadening of eligibility for exemption from the act is a matter for Congress to consider.
