Computation of Backpay Award

A decision was requested concerning the method used in computing the amount of backpay to be paid to a former employee who was permanently promoted to GS-15 1 year after being detailed to the higher position. Since the employee was entitled to a temporary promotion, he was entitled to the difference between the salary on the date he was detailed and the date he first received correct pay.
