Highlights

An employee appealed the disallowance of his claim for backpay as a result of the claim being barred by the statute of limitations. The claim was for a period from 1968 to 1970 and was not received by GAO until 1976. Every claim recognized by GAO is barred forever unless it is received within 6 years after the date the claim occurred. This claim was not within the time limitation and was denied.
