Request for Reconsideration for Relocation Expenses

An employee requested a reconsideration of a decision sustaining the disallowance of his claim for relocation expenses incident to a permanent change of station. The employee claimed the relocation expenses on the basis that his transfer was in the best interest of the Government and claimed that his request was denied because of budget constraints. The record revealed that budgetary limitations were not the basis for the denial. The claim was properly denied as a transfer for the convenience of the employee. (SW)
