Untimely Request for Review of Settlement of Transportation Services Claim

A company requested a review of the final settlement action of September 11, 1974, taken by the form GAO Transportation and Claims Division (TCD). The transportation audit function was transferred from GAO to the General Services Administration (GSA) effective October 12, 1975, with GAO retaining the appellate authority to review GSA settlements. As of the effective date of the legislation, the TCD final action became in effect the action of GSA. The request was barred from consideration by the time limitations on GAO review of GSA actions contained in that legislation.
