A company protested rejection of its bid as nonresponsive because the bid guarantee, a letter of credit, expired prior to expiration of the bid acceptance period. The protester contended that his bank interpreted the solicitation to mean that the letter of credit should not expire prior to the contract performance period. Since the solicitation specified a 60-day bid acceptance period, the bidder was required to furnish a bid guarantee effective for the entire period plus an additional reasonable period, and the expired guarantee was properly rejected.
