Claims for Backpay Erroneous Classification, Pay Adjustment, and Additional Compensation

An employee appealed a settlement denying his claim for backpay incident to his temporary duty in Spain, alleging an erroneous job classification. There is no entitlement to backpay for periods of erroneous classification under existing statutes. The employee was entitled only to the salary of the position to which he was appointed regardless of the duties which he performed.
