Renewal of Discontinued Annuity Payments to Widow

Legal Counsel for the Elderly requested reconsideration of the settlement which disallowed the claimant's request for renewal of discontinued annuity payments to her as the widow of a retired member of the Army. Payments were discontinued based on doubt as to her status as the lawful widow because of the member's prior and subsequent marriages with no evidence of divorce. Payment of the annuity could not be resumed in the absence of a court decree declaring her to be the lawful widow.
