Proposed Revisions to Armed Services Procurement Regulation 22-107

Views concerning proposed Army and Air Force revisions to Armed Services Procurement Regulation (ASPR) 22-107 (1976 ed.) were requested. The proposed Air Force revision would add transportation services contracts to exceptions from prohibition against entering into service contracts extending beyond a fiscal year. The fact that the standard school term crosses two fiscal years is of no consequence; the subject contracts would violate current statutes. The proposed Army revision would permit execution of employment contracts with school teachers for armed services dependents for a period crossing two fiscal years. Such contracts would also violate existing statutes. (SW)
