Highlights

A review of the audit report of the American National Theatre and Academy for the year ended June 30, 1976, showed that, except for the late receipt of the report, the audit and financial reporting requirements for federally chartered corporations had been met. The audit report was prepared by a firm of certified public accountants and included a statement of the scope of the audit and the auditor's opinion that the financial statements present fairly the financial position of the American National Theatre and Academy at June 30, 1976, and the results of operations and changes in financial position for the year then ended, in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles applied on a basis consistent with the preceding year. However, review of GAO files indicates that GAO has not received for review the audit reports of the American National Theatre and Academy for the years ended June 30, 1973, 1974, and 1975.
