Highlights

An employee appealed the denial of his claim for reimbursement of travel and subsistence expenses for his foster children incident to a permanent change of station. The transferred employee may not be reimbursed for these expenses since such children are not within the definition of "immediate family" contained in applicable regulations. Whether such children are eligible for the employee's health insurance program was not relevant to the determination of their entitlement to relocation allowances. The denial was sustained.
