GAO Approval of Claim against Government Agency Not Necessary When Parties Mutually Agree on Settlement

Settlement of a claim by contractors based on a breach of contract resulting from Government-caused delays in the performance of the contract was requested. Contracting agencies are not required to get GAO approval of claims for unliquidated damages for Government's breach of contract where agency and contractor mutually agree to settlement. (DJM)
