Relocation Expenses

An Authorized Certifying Officer requested a decision concerning an employee claim for relocation and travel expenses incident to his employment transfer, including costs incurred in securing a mortgage. Claim was denied, because the loan origination fees were service charges. Higher mileage rates authorized in the travel orders for a house-hunting trip may be paid.
