Request for Modification of Contract Price

A contractor requested modification of its contract, alleging an error in the bid price. The request for modification of the contract price was not allowed since a valid and binding contract resulted when, due to the nature of the suspected mistake, the contracting officer adequately discharged his bid verification duty by calling to the bidder's attention the variance in the bids and requesting confirmation of the low bid which was verified.
